NOT QUITE BROTHERS

Not Quite Brothers was born out of an acoustic trio that included twins Sam and Isaac Johnson and an underclassman acquaintance. Shortly after graduating high school, the group found themselves in Cedar Falls, IA. After adding a drummer and bass player, they cut their teeth in roadside bars throughout East and Central Iowa. The band signed with Atomic Music Group in late 2019 and, after the pandemic, toured the Midwest while doubling down on their mission of keeping classic rock alive.

In 2023, the boys brought it back home to the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA, where they released their first live album, " Not Quite Brothers: Live at the Surf Ballroom." The album features 12 fan-favorite hits with accompanying video production that takes you back to a simpler time.

Over the years, NQB has supported acts such as Night Ranger, Tesla, Foghat, FireHouse, and Buckcherry - bands they first discovered through their parents' iTunes library.

With the live show being their specialty, what you get is a celebration of the timeless hits we all know and love - from bands such as Ratt and Aerosmith to The Killers and Nickelback, and from Shania Twain and Eric Church to Tom Petty and Johnny Cash. The set spans songs across five generations while holding the energy and emotion of a concert you might have seen 40 years ago.

When asked why they are playing songs written before they were born, there's only one true answer: these kids were raised on rock 'n' roll.
